Chelsea To Make £10 Million Profit On a Player

Chelsea are making a tidy profit on Mario Pasalic, the Croatian midfielder who is being sold for around €15 million euros after not playing single game in six years for the Blues.
Pasalic was signed back in 2014 from Hajduk Split for a fee in the region of £3 million. He was quickly sent on loan to La Liga side Elche and then had further temporary moves away at Monaco, AC Milan and Spartak Moscow

The 25-year old has excelled in two seasons on loan with Atalanta , who will now take up the option to purchase him permanently.
It's common practice for Chelsea, who have been highly successful adopting a model whereby they sign players for cheap, loan them out and eventually command a higher fee.

Midfielder Pasalic has made 32 appearances in all competitions for Atalanta this season, scoring seven goals.

He's also been a key part of the Bergamo club's superb debut run in this year's Champions League.

Atalanta have made the quarter finals following a stunning 8-4 aggregate win over Valencia in the round of 16 prior to COVID-19 temporarily halting the competition's progress
